Prong Collar

One of the most natural ways to communicate effectively in training is to position yourself as the alpha dog. Tamed upholds this practice while also valuing simple effective communication. The pressure collar offers a safe and effective alternative to choker collars by putting even pressure around the neck, avoiding direct pressure to the trachea, so dogs experience little or no tugging, jerking, or pulling.

Chrome Prong Collar

Herm Sprenger Chrome Plated Training Collar with Quick Release features HS Scissor Snap that allows fast release of the dog. Herm Sprenger training collars are designed so pressure is spread evenly around the dog’s neck. The ends of the links are carefully rounded to provide safe correction. Herm Sprenger Training Collars are manufactured in Germany from the finest quality of materials and craftsmanship. The snap also enables the collar to be easily fastened around the neck. The collar must be fitted correctly in order to work properly, fitting just below the dog’s ears. Links may be added or removed to make a comfortable snug fit. Attach the lead to the “D” ring at the top of the collar. These Quick Release collars are available in 4 sizes, but Tamed recommends 2.25 mm (small) as it provides more control.

Pro Educator 900

One of the most effective means of obedience training, the e-collar affords trainers the ability to deliver instant, comprehendible feedback to a dog during training exercises. Tamed uses e-collars as a basis to instill confidence within both dog and handler.

In Training Vest

Keeper 1″ wide Collar Hidden Prong with snap – Black

The Keeper Collars® Hidden Prong Collar is not simply a cover for a prong collar. The prong is built directly into the collar, allowing for unmatched functionality and camouflaging of the prong. These collars are designed to easily be put on and taken off. Gone are the days of struggling to pinch the prongs together. For those people who do not have a ton of dexterity in their fingers, this is going to be a huge benefit. RedLine K9 Dominant Dog Collar

Dominant dog collars are specifically designed for use on handler aggressive or dog aggressive dogs. These collars are excellent for lowering the drive and taking the fight out of a dog. DO NOT jerk this collar to deliver a correction. The proper way to use the collar is to SLOWLY lift straight up on the collar, until the dog ceases the behavior and settles. The dominant dog collars come in 1 inch increments. Use a string or cloth tape to measure around the dogs neck. Measure just under the jaw and around the head right behind the ears. The string or cloth tape must be tight to get a proper measurement. There should be no space between the dogs neck and the tape measure or string. Order a collar that is the same length as that measurement. If the measurement falls between two sizes, then round down to the next smaller size. For example, if the measurement is 18 1/2 inches, order an 18 inch dominant dog collar.
